S1 E.11 This or That: Mariah’s 27th Birthday Special
In this EpisodeIn this special episode, we are celebrating Mariah’s 27th Birthday! This week we vowed to bring some much-needed laughter to the podcast. Listen in as both Adriana and Mariah interview each other with “Would You Rather” and “This or That” questions.
As Mariah is getting ready to embark on a new year and journey, she and Adriana ask each other some interesting questions. We take a trip down memory lane and reminisce about everything from iconic moments of their friendship, late-night teenage mischief, (looking at you, Mariah!) their biggest fears, past jobs, and hopes for the future.
It’s no secret that Adriana and Mariah go together like peanut butter and jelly. They reflect on the time that they got wishing bracelets at an event and secretly made 3 wishes. Well, that best friend intuition is strong because that night, Adriana was able to guess Mariah’s wishes effortlessly!
Adriana asks Mariah to recall the most illegal thing she’s ever done. Mariah touches on the time that she was 13 and got caught stealing from Limited Too. We get it, she’s a fashion icon! Just when we thought we were moving on to the next question, in true Mariah fashion, the truth is told. She and a childhood friend would go driving at night without a license.
Adriana opens up about how her infertility struggle is her lifelong fear, and how she is practically living in it. She brings an enlightened approach, recalling that no matter what, there are options to live her dream life. Even though this situation is not ideal, it is powerful to know that it can be overcome and used as a testament to our strength.
Mariah then touches on her internship opportunity at Dr. Oz. For one of her colleagues' birthdays, she brought a Starbucks cookie in, and turns out, the colleague was gluten free. She dives into the details of one of the most notable projects that she did during her time as an intern. It was a week-long project that involved downloading soundbites…and before she knew it, she had deleted 20,000 of them. They were gone forever. Oh, what a moment.
We end today’s episode on a lighthearted note – Mariah tells us what she hopes to contribute to the Earth this year. Attentiveness towards her friends and family, honesty, and bringing her passion of working at Little Words Project to the next level. We all need this kind of energy.
